You’re creating a lasting impact.
The Donor Impact Report highlights the meaningful change made possible by your generosity. Here you’ll find stories of students, researchers and community members whose lives have been forever transformed by your support. Thank you for helping build a university where ideas flourish, learners thrive and communities grow stronger — here in Alberta and around the world.

A Daughter’s Gift, a Family’s Legacy
When Natalie Ruhl gave her father a kidney, she saved his life. That act of love sparked a family gift to advance kidney research and care — turning one lifesaving moment into hope for countless others.

Rooted in Culture, Ready to Teach
A gift rooted in the power of cultural education launched the first Aboriginal Teacher Education Program cohort at Red Crow Community College. In a space guided by Elders and mentors, Indigenous students are becoming teachers who reflect, respect and uplift the communities they call home.

Ready for Real-World Practice
Inspired by a hometown pharmacist, Joel Ray is training to give back to his rural community. Through real-world labs, clinical placements and donor-funded support, the U of A’s PharmD program is preparing him — and others like him — to shape the future of patient care across Alberta.

A Legacy in Print
Renowned artist Liz Ingram has donated decades of work to the U of A’s Print Study Centre. Her gift strengthens a hands-on collection that fuels discovery, inspires students and connects communities through the power of art.

From Campus to Cosmos
With backing from the U of A Innovation Fund, Edmonton-based Wyvern is revolutionizing satellite imaging — and staying rooted in Alberta. Donor support is fuelling student ventures, job creation and global impact, proving that bold ideas launched here can reach the stars.
Radhe Krishna Gupta Executive Chair in Cities and Communities
A visionary $5 million gift from the Rohit Group is creating the Radhe Krishna Gupta Executive Chair in Cities and Communities — the first endowed chair at the Alberta School of Business in more than a decade. This bold investment will drive tangible solutions, research and leadership in city-building, creating lasting impact for communities locally and globally.
First Peoples’ House
The U of A is reimagining First Peoples’ House into a larger, purpose-built space rooted in Indigenous ways of being and knowing. This reimagined home will support generations of First Nations, Métis and Inuit students — a place of ceremony, learning, community and belonging — made possible through ongoing donor generosity and a shared commitment to reconciliation.
