Delta Kappa Gamma World Fellowships
The mission of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International is to promote the professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education. The World Fellowship Fund was established to provide opportunities for women from foreign countries to pursue graduate studies in Canada and the United States. This is an external award and is not administered by the Faculty of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies. Any questions should be directed to Deborah Meraw (deborahmeraw@gmail.com).

Eligibility
Eligible applicant requirements:
- Open to female, international students registered at the University of Alberta
- Must have a valid study permit (citizens and permanent residents of Canada and the United States are ineligible)
- Award holders must be registered full-time in their program throughout the 2027-28 academic year in order to receive and retain the funds;
- Must not be currently a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International

Application Procedure
- Application documents must be submitted to Deborah Meraw (deborahmeraw@gmail.com) by December 17, 2026.
- Complete application form must be in the English language.
- Official transcripts are required for all post-secondary institutions.
- Applicants must ask their Graduate Administrator to complete the Status of Degree Work page well in advance of the applicants’ submission deadline, so that the applicant can include the completed page within their application package.
- Applicants are responsible for sending the DKG Letter of Reference Form to each of their 3 referees and ensuring that their referees email the completed form directly to deborahmeraw@gmail.com
- You must include a copy of a valid study permit.
- You may not be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada, or be a current member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.
Completed application packages must be submitted to Deborah Meraw (deborahmeraw@gmail.com) no later than December 17th. A complete application package consists of:
- Completed Application form;
- Status of Degree Work page, completed by the student’s Graduate Administrator;
- Copy of a valid Study Permit;
- Scans of original or certified/validated copies of up-to-date official transcripts from all previous post-secondary studies;
- University of Alberta official transcript showing all grades obtained to date;
- Three DKG Letter of Reference Forms completed by 3 different referees, submitted directly to Deborah Meraw (deborahmeraw@gmail.com).
Deadline
