The Information, Privacy and Records Management Office (IPRMO) helps students, staff, and the public navigate access and privacy legislation and provides resources on how the university accesses, collects, uses, discloses, protects and retains your personal information.
We can assist you with:
- Requests to access information including your personal information;
- Requests to correct your personal information;
- Best practices in protecting personal information; and
- Managing records in accordance with university policy and approved records retention schedules.
Our team manages access and privacy matters and provides advice and guidance in support of the requirements of the Access to Information Act (ATIA) and Protection of Privacy Act (POPA). The IPRMO also provides advice and guidance on records management issues.
The office provides assistance to university employees who are also custodians in relation to complying with the Health Information Act (HIA).
