Fonlon/Nichols Award

The Fonlon/Nichols Award is a competitive award for graduate students in Media and Technology Studies at the University of Alberta. MACT students are eligible to be considered for this award.

The fund supports graduate students from Africa who are pursuing advanced study in media, communication, technology, and related fields. It recognizes students whose academic work, professional experience, or future goals align with the broader values of Media and Technology Studies, including communication leadership, digital media, technology and society, and the social impact of communication technologies.
