This hybrid event with Dr. Manu Vatish is being hosted in partnership with WCHRI. Dr. Vatish is the Deputy Director for Drug and Clinical Development, Gates Foundation who will discuss the Gates Foundation’s efforts to improve global maternal and newborn care in low and middle income countries.  He will focus especially on how the Foundation is developing novel therapies, tools, and strategies to achieve this goal.  Dr. Vatish is also presenting at the WCHRI Research Day on November 4, 2026.  Go here for more information.

Dr. Manu Vatish is a well-known researcher in pregnancy and preeclampsia who is has been at the Gates' Foundation since 2022.  He is a professor of obstetrics at the University of Oxford and practices obstetrics as an attending physician at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.  More information about Dr. Vatish can be found at the Gates Foundation.
