Dr. Anastassia Voronova received Future Leader Grant (awarded $100,000) in Canadian Brain Research by Brain Canada.

Dr. Anastassia Voronova received Stem Cell Network grant (awarded $350,000) to develop pro-regenerative drugs for MS. This is a collaborative effort between Voronova lab (PI; expert in myelin and brain regeneration) as well as medicinal chemist Dr. Fred West (co-I), AI and in silicon drug design expert Dr. Khaled Barakat (co-I) and Dr. Ayman El-Kadi (co-I), an expert in metabolic stability studies. Drs. Lavasanifar and Giuliani are collaborators.

Dr. Voronova was interviewed as a "stem cell science starter" by Dr. Vivien Marx (Nature Methods Journal).
March 2024
Dr. Voronova was awarded a CIHR operating grant on developmental determinants of multiple sclerosis progression.
Dr. Voronova received two grants to study the role of genetics in MS:
a) MS Canada Discovery Grant (awarded $300,000) "Role of MS genetic variants in myelination”
b) MS Canada Catalyst Grant with Dr. Marc Horwitz (awarded $50,000) "Intersection of genetics and EBV in MS disease mechanisms”
