General Obstetrics & Gynecology

There are more than 20 generalist obstetrician gynecologists at the Lois Hole Hospital for Women, Royal Alexandra Hospital. We are the tertiary OBGYN center in Edmonton and have the highest obstetrical volumes in the province of Alberta. 

Our group is always striving to be at the top of our field, with exceptional minimally invasive surgeons and high-risk obstetricians.

We have established a placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) team over the last year which is an amazing step forward for our tertiary center.

As the primary site for the OBGYN residency program, the generalists provide a large degree of obstetrical and gynecologic education.

The division also serves eight other locations across the province of Alberta: the Sturgeon Community Hospital, the Grey Nuns Community Hospital, the Misericordia Community Hospital, the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital, the Red Deer Regional Hospital, the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, the Fort McMurray Northern Lights Regional Health Centre and the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital.
