Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus Clinics
Under the auspices of the Stollery Children's Hospital, pediatric ophthalmology patients are seen in the Walter C Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre (WMC) - Unit 2F. Two fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologists, a neuro-ophthalmologist and comprehensive ophthalmologists work in the clinic. Most of the appointments are outpatient encounters, however we also see many inpatients as well. We have 4 full-time orthoptists who screen all patients as they enter the clinic. We typically see children with medical and surgical eye conditions, but also rule out these conditions in infants and difficult to examine and/or special needs children. The Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus Clinic is open from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday. All clinic appointments are by physician/optometrist referral only.
