Dr. Sandra Bucerius has joined the editorial leadership team of Criminology, one of the field’s most prominent scholarly journals. Dr. Kevin Haggerty will also join the team as an associate editor.

"Criminology has long published some of the most rigorous, innovative, and field-defining scholarship in our discipline, and our team is committed to helping continue that tradition by supporting research that advances knowledge, challenges us intellectually, and speaks to pressing social issues," says Sandra.

"I am especially thrilled to be working alongside such an outstanding team of co-editors, whose scholarship, leadership, and dedication to the field I deeply admire. I look forward to collaborating with them, as well as with authors, reviewers, and readers, to continue strengthening and shaping the future of criminological research.

As an international, qualitative researcher and ethnographer, I also hope that we can encourage submissions from scholars who may not have traditionally thought of Criminology as their intellectual home. Some of the most important insights in our field emerge from methodological diversity and international perspectives that deepen global conversations about crime, justice, inequality, and social change, and I would love to see that richness reflected in the work we publish.

I’m grateful for this opportunity and very excited for what lies ahead."
