University of Alberta External Relations uses Canto as a digital asset management system. It is easy to use, accessible and provides a centralized location for both internal and external audiences to access and download the university’s brand and visual assets including brand guidelines, logos, templates, photos and more.
Access Canto
Refer to the University of Alberta Brand Guidelines (downloadable via the Canto portal links below) for information on preferred and proper use of the university’s visual identity assets. Adhering to these guidelines enables the University of Alberta to present a consistent and professional visual message to its audiences.
Faculty + Staff
Visit our private portal to download university logos, templates, photos, video and other central assets by using your CCID and password. Click ‘Login using SSO’ and you will be redirected to the ‘UAlberta Login’ page.
Third Party
Visit the public portal if you do not have a CCID and are seeking university assets for media purposes, promotions, or partnerships. Downloads are available upon request.
Add your project to Canto
Adding your project’s digital assets to Canto offers the following benefits:
- Allows continuous growth of the university’s common asset library
- Ensures licensing compliance
- Ensures a single source location for asset management
- Canto is compliant with ATIA and POPA. Visit the Information, Privacy and Records Management Office for more information.
If you have recently completed a photo or video project with the Digital and Creative team and want your photos uploaded to Canto, please review the intake process.

OBTAINING OFFICIAL STATIONERY ITEMS
Stationery items including business cards, letterhead and envelopes can be ordered online through Burke Group's easy-to-use portal Burke Online.
