Eligibility

  • Academic Excellence (GPA of 3.5 or greater in the most recent 12 credits of course work in the master's program)
  • Master of Science (MSc) or Master of Public Health (MPH) - Health Promotion
  • Nominee must be a continuing student who has completed a minimum of 12 credits of coursework in the graduate program
  • Awarded on the basis of academic excellence (grade point average of 3.5 or greater in the most recent 12 credits of coursework in the master's program)
  • Awarded on the basis of demonstrated commitment, spirit, leadership and initiative at the University of Alberta and in the health promotion community
  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in masters programs.
  • Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.


How to apply

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty). The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
