Eligibility

  • GPA of 3.0 or greater in the most recent 12 credits of course work in the master's program
  • Nominee is registered in a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree program at the University of Alberta
  • Nominee is a continuing student
  • Nominee must have completed a minimum 12 credits of course work
  • The applicant must have demonstrated leadership and initiative in health promotion within their local community
  • Awarded on the basis of academic achievement in the MPH program
  • Preference given to a Canadian Citizen
  • Open to Canadian citizens
  • Open to permanent residents
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits
  • Open to applicants in masters programs
  • Open to applicants in course-based study programs
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs
  • Open to full-time or part-time registered students


How to apply

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty). The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
