This theme includes the following:

1. Develop protective and preventive measures to prevent or reduce impairments caused by neural injuries.
2. Discover, develop and implement new molecular, technological and rehabilitation strategies to enhance repair and recovery from neural injury.
3. Translate of discoveries to clinic care through bench to bedside and community interaction.
4. Develop research surgical and imaging capabilities for advances through animal models of neural injury.
