Finance, Procurement and Planning

Finance, Procurement and Planning is responsible for financial reporting, resource planning, procurement, investments & treasury, and risk management & insurance. 

We have a team of Finance service partners who work closely with the faculties, units and staff across the institution to provide excellent client service. 

Our Financial Reporting team looks after all institutional financial reporting, prepares the university’s annual audited financial statements, manages the year-end process and the annual external audit, and develops and implements institutional accounting policies and procedures.

Our Resource Planning team develops, implements and oversees the university's integrated planning process, prepares and administers the institutional budgets and conducts financial analysis and forecasting.

Our Procurement team is responsible for the purchase of goods and services, contract management, vendor management, customs services, travel management and compliance.

Our Investments & Treasury team provides the university with strategic leadership and oversight of its cash flow, banking services and investment portfolio. They ensure the university's cash flow is managed effectively, and that sufficient liquidity is maintained to meet the university's obligations. And the team continuously evaluates investment opportunities and strategies in order to maintain the long-term value of the University Endowment Pool.

Our Risk Management & Insurance team assesses various university risks, assists the university community with insurance and risk issues, and oversees insurance policies for the university. The team evaluates and enhances the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes at the university.
