May 9 to October 13, 2025 - Admission closes 1 hour before the Garden closes

MAY: Open weekends, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

JUNE and JULY: Open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, except Tuesdays and Wednesdays, when we are closed to the public.

AUGUST and SEPTEMBER: Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, except Tuesdays and Wednesdays, when we are closed to the public.

OCTOBER: Open on the following dates, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Oct. 10, 11, 12, 13 (Thanksgiving Monday)

SENIORS' DAY: Seniors' Day starts June 5 and runs every Thursday until September 25. Free coffee will be available for seniors (65+) at The Cafe and the Bee Line hop-on-hop-off tram service will be offered most Thursdays typically running between 11 a.m., to 3 p.m.

Partial Closures: On occasion, parts of the Garden will be closed for private events or maintenance:

  • June 8, 2025: Kurimoto Japanese Garden closed from 10 a.m., until 1 p.m.
  • June 22, 2025: Aga Khan Garden closes at 4:00 p.m.
  • June 28, 2025: Kurimoto Japanese Garden closes at 4:00 p.m.
  • July 10, 2025: Talar Building closes at 1:30 p.m.
  • August 2, 2025: Talar Building closes at 4:30 p.m.
  • August 9, 2025: Aga Khan Garden closed from 10 a.m., until 12:30 p.m.
  • August 29, 2025: Aga Khan Garden is closed all day.
  • September 21, 2025: Aga Khan Garden closed from 10 a.m., until 6:30 p.m.

Location

The Garden is located in Parkland County, Alberta, 15 minutes southwest of Edmonton on Highway 60.

Important

The Garden is not located on the University of Alberta campus.

You will need a vehicle to get here, as there is no public transportation to the Garden. Free parking is available on-location.

Parking

  • Parking is free at the Garden.
  • Bus and limousine parking is available in designated areas.
  • RV parking is available on weekdays only.
  • Bike racks are available for cyclists to lock up bikes.
  • Parking is available for Devonian Trail users during regular Garden hours.
