Students in the OM 468: Business Analytics Consulting Project recently presented their work at the Alberta School of Business, bringing together students, industry professionals, and academic partners to explore how analytics can be applied to real-world business challenges.
As part of the course, student teams worked closely with industry partners including Lifting Solutions and Dune Engineering, applying business analytics and data-driven methods to address practical organizational problems. Throughout the project, students collaborated with industry professionals to analyze data, develop solutions, and present actionable insights.
The event provided an opportunity for students to showcase their projects and receive valuable feedback from both industry representatives and faculty members. The presentations highlighted strong analytical thinking, collaboration, and the ability to translate data into meaningful recommendations.
The OM 468 consulting project demonstrates how experiential learning connects classroom knowledge with real-world decision-making, preparing students to apply analytics and problem-solving skills in professional settings.
