Eligibility for membership:
ATI membership is open to all those residing in Alberta who are committed to improving outcomes for patients, families and donors through advances in donation and transplantation research, education, and advocacy.

Membership Profiles and Benefits:

Researchers and Clinician Scientists:

  • Eligible to host ATI-funded undergraduate summer studentships
  • Eligible to receive ATI-funded seed grants
  • Receive letters of support for grant applications
  • Venues to present and promote your research and accomplishments (Research Day, seminars, newsletter features, website, social media)
  • Advice on research supports and opportunities available locally and nationally
  • Connections to large-scale team research projects and infrastructure
  • Weekly update on ATI member publications
  • Connecting with patient, family and donor research partners for patient-centered research studies
  • Connect with different stakeholders such as industry reps, foundations
Clinicians and Health Professionals (Physicians, Nurses, Allied health):
  • Steer the direction of research by sharing perspectives on clinical and patient needs and knowledge gaps
  • Accredited CME educational opportunities (i.e. confirmation of attendance available for members only)
  • Stay up to date in clinical and research innovations in donation and transplantation
  • Become a research collaborator

Trainees and Staff:

  • Opportunity to present research at ATI Research Day
  • Coordination support for trainee-driven initiatives such as journal clubs or discussion groups (future)

Patients, Family, Living Donors, Caregivers, Donor Families and other Community Members:
