Embracing Artificial Intelligence (or not) at the undergraduate level

May 7-8, 2026

The teaching and learning landscape has changed tremendously since ChatGPT and other artificial intelligence (AI)  tools made their way in our daily lives.  The arrival of programs which perform the usual tasks we ask our students to perform requires professors to review their course objectives.  This year we will explore the integration and impact of AI in undergraduate teaching. We aim to bring together educators, researchers and students to share insights, experiences and innovative approaches to use (or avoid) AI tools and methodologies in the classroom.

This will be 11th annual Augustana Conference on Undergraduate Research and Innovative Teaching conference (with two-year interruption due to COVID).
