The university and NASA have a renewal collective agreement.

13 May 2025

The university is pleased to share that the University of Alberta Board of Governors and the Non-Academic Staff Association (NASA) members have ratified the tentative agreement. The university thanks NASA’s bargaining team for their commitment and collegiality in reaching this renewal collective agreement.

Recognizing both valued contributions and the broader context and realities

The agreement is for a four year period, from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2028. It includes a sustainable, three per cent (3%) across-the-board increase to wages in each of the four years, recognizing both the valued contributions of NASA employees and the broader considerations of the university community.

Supporting the success of our entire community

This agreement allows the University of Alberta to continue to provide world-class learning, research and employment opportunities for its entire community, and supports NASA members to achieve their full potential. From labs to libraries, and student services to utilities, the contributions of NASA members are integral to the university’s success. The university extends a sincere thank you to the individuals in both parties who were involved in this latest, successful round of negotiations.

Further details and the agreement will be published in future updates to the community once available.
