Update on retroactive pay and implementation of AASUA agreement

The four-year agreement became effective upon ratification on Oct. 31, 2025. Some items in the agreement are retroactive, including the 3 per cent across-the-board salary increases (July 1, 2024 for year one increases and July 1, 2025 for year two increases), while some items take effect on ratification.

Retroactive pay schedule

The retroactive payments will be issued across two pay periods:

November 1-30 pay period (November 27 paydate)

• Eligible employees (active and on paid leave) will receive their retroactive salary increase from July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025
• The new updated salary scales will be applied effective the November 1-30 pay period.

December 1-31 pay period (December 30 paydate)

• Eligible employees (active and on paid leave) will receive their retroactive salary increase from July 1, 2025 - October 31, 2025

Eligible employees receiving maternity/parental top-up or on Long-Term Disability will receive their retroactive pay for both 2024 and 2025 on their November paydate, as this group requires manual updates.
