CIUS at 50: Looking Back, Reflecting Forward — Gala Evening

Join the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies for an unforgettable evening at the Art Gallery of Alberta as we celebrate half a century of transformative research, community leadership, and global impact.

CIUS at 50: Looking Back, Reflecting Forward will bring together community members, scholars, and supporters for an inspiring evening of connection and heritage in the heart of downtown Edmonton. Come and meet celebrated intellectuals from around the world who are taking part in the CIUS International Symposium, Recentring the Humanities: Ukraine and the World. The program will feature an exclusive fireside chat with past and present CIUS directors, offering unique reflections on five decades of achievements and a forward-looking perspective on the Institute’s future, alongside the launch of the book In Many Voices… and a curated silent auction benefiting future research initiatives.

Guests will enjoy a thoughtfully crafted dinner celebrating local, seasonal ingredients through an innovative fusion of Indigenous-Canadian and Ukrainian culinary traditions. Tickets are $95 and include a complimentary beverage, along with full access to the evening’s program.

Space is limited for this milestone celebration. Reserve your ticket today to honour our shared history and help shape the next chapter of Ukrainian studies in Canada and beyond!
