Artificial intelligence (AI) holds the promise of transforming technology across industries, including in gaming. AI and machine learning (ML) technologies are reshaping video game development, influencing both game creation and player experiences.

Join Matthew Guzdial, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computing Science at the University of Alberta, as he explores recent research on AI's role in merging creativity with machine learning. Discover how these advancements are reshaping game design and development, including the application of concepts like "transfer learning" and "explainable AI,” and how that could impact technology and user experiences across various industries.

This event is open to all alumni and their guests.

Space is limited. Registration will close when the event reaches capacity, or on April 28, 2024.
