Criminology Field Placement
Overview
The Department of Criminology offers a field placement stream whereby students studying criminology have the opportunity to apply their classroom learning in a work environment as they complete two field placements with criminal justice system agencies. Additionally, students will complete a research paper based on their practicum field placement experience. They will be closely supported by a criminology professor to facilitate this process.
Benefits
By participating in the field placement stream, students are able to apply their classroom knowledge to a practical experience beyond academia. In doing so, students may benefit by developing professional and transferable skills as well as gaining insight to potential career opportunities.
