MD Program

Overview

The MD Program in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry educates and prepares students to become competent and compassionate physicians, trained to deliver high-quality, collaborative and socially accountable care. The MD Program curriculum is based on principles of experiential learning whereby students develop a strong theoretical background in the foundational, scientific and clinical principles of medicine while also providing opportunities for students to learn in a variety of environments and locations.

Benefits

There are several benefits to the life-long learning experience gained through the MD Program. For instance, in addition to their professional physician training, students will develop problem-solving skills and establish clinical readiness and clinical reasoning skills. Through their experiential learning opportunities, they will build teamwork skills and develop an interprofessional education. The MD Program’s program level objectives identify the key competencies of our graduates and provide the backbone to our curriculum.
