What is Cybersecurity Awareness Month?
Cybersecurity Awareness Month is an opportunity for our campus community to refocus on staying secure in an increasingly digital world. This year, we are highlighting the university's updated IT Security Policy and new streamlined procedures, as well as why these changes matter to everyone.
Throughout the month, you’ll see several activities across campus, from prize tables where you can test your knowledge to practical tips on spotting scams and protecting your data. We’ll share guidance on detecting phishing, vishing and smishing attempts, working securely from home and strengthening your logins with multi-factor authentication (MFA).
Cybersecurity Awareness Month is an opportunity to learn, get involved and take simple steps that make a significant difference in keeping our community cybersafe.
