Report an Information Security Incident or Privacy Incident

If you have recently encountered an information security incident or privacy incident and need to report it, please visit the Information, Privacy and Records Management Office’s (IPRMO) Privacy and Information Security Incident Reporting webpage.

As required under the Protection of Privacy Act (POPA), the University of Alberta must protect personal information in its custody or control. A university employee who is aware that an information security incident or privacy incident (unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, destruction or loss of personal information) may have occurred must take immediate action to stop and contain it, and contact the appropriate people within the university.
