Taylor Laut is a genetic counsellor with Alberta Health Services and an Assistant Clinical Professor for the Medical Genetics Department at the University of Alberta. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Genetics and Neuroscience at the University of Lethbridge in 2014, and a Master of Science degree in Human Genetics and Genetic Counselling at Sarah Lawrence College in 2017. She gained Board certification with the American Board of Genetic Counseling in 2017. Throughout her career, Taylor has worked in prenatal, pediatric and adult genetics. She currently works as a general genetic counsellor seeing patients of all ages for all different indications.
Research interests include rare disease and reducing barriers to allow for equitable access to genomic investigations and healthcare.
