Faculty Strategic Planning

The Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry is undertaking a strategic planning process that will help shape the future of our faculty. Through meaningful engagement and community consultation, this work will build on the strong foundation established through Vision 2025 while helping define where we can have the greatest impact in education, research, clinical innovation and social accountability.

Shaping our future together

Throughout 2026, we will engage broadly with faculty, staff, learners, alumni, health-care partners, donors and the communities we serve. Input from across and beyond the Faculty will help inform future priorities and support a clear, shared path forward.

Meaningful engagement is central to this process. The perspectives and ideas shared will help ensure the strategy reflects our collective strengths, ambitions and aspirations.

At the same time, strategic planning also requires thoughtful choices about where we can focus our efforts collectively to create the greatest impact in the years ahead.

How we're engaging

Developing the Faculty’s next strategy will be an active and collaborative process. We will engage faculty, staff, learners, health system partners, alumni, donors and the communities we serve through a variety of consultation and engagement opportunities.

To date, these activities have included:

Focus groups
Workshops and discussion sessions
Leadership and stakeholder engagement opportunities
Town halls

Throughout the process, we will continue sharing updates on what we are hearing, emerging themes and next steps to keep our community informed and connected.

Together, we will shape a shared path forward, one that builds on our strengths, strengthens partnerships and advances meaningful impact for the communities we serve.
