FAQs for UAlberta Student Status + Registration
PGME does not provide or offer Notary Public or Commissioner of Oaths services.
Tuition/program fees for the incoming academic year are typically posted to Bear Tracks sometime in the month of June, at which point they should appear in your account. The deadline for payment will also be posted at that time, which is typically sometime around September.
You can request Athletics and Recreation and/or U-Pass privileges as a post-graduate student but must be a member of the GSA. Visit the Office of the Registrar’s Forms page (scroll to the bottom, listed under "Other forms") for more information.
If you have an Alberta Student Aid “Form B” you need filled out by the institution, the Office of the Registrar can help. The PGME is not able to fill these out. Residents should refer to the Office of the Registrar’s Repaying Your Student Loans page for more information.
FAQs for Clinical Training
No. Criminal Records Check (with Vulnerable Sector Search/Check) are submitted to our colleagues in AHS Academic Medicine (via Edm.AcademicMedicine@ahs.ca) and must be additionally submitted to CPSA as a part of your CPSA application.
Your home program should provide you with this information, as it varies depending on the program and hospital site. If you are rotating at a specific hospital site, they may also have additional or different instructions. Please pay close attention to your site-specific orientation materials.
If you are starting training in July, your pager number will be assigned to you prior to your start date and shared with AHS, the program administrators, and switchboard/ROCA. There is no need for you to provide a number to your home program, as we will do so on your behalf as soon as they are assigned. AHS Academic Medicine will be in touch with you about signing a pager agreement, and you will be able to pick up your pager at the in-person orientation.
If you are starting training off-cycle (i.e. not in July), you will need to pick your pager up from the PGME Office. Please refer to your welcome email for more information.
No. You should send this to your Program Administrator, as Advanced Life Support course requirements vary from program to program, and PGME does not collect these.
FAQs for System Support + Access

If your program uses One45, your Program Administrator (PA) should grant you access. Check with your PA first to confirm that they have added you to the system, and if you are still having issues you can either refer to the One45 Knowledge Base (help centre) or contact the PGME Office for further support at pglearn@ualberta.ca.
