Teaching Scholars Program

The IDEAS (Innovation, Discovery, Education, And Scholarship) Office was established in 2017 to help support faculty members with health professions education scholarship of teaching and learning; Dr. Carol Hodgson is the Director. One of the most important activities of the IDEAS Office is the Teaching Scholars Program (TSP) which offers a variety of professional development courses designed to aid the novice or expert educator with a variety of teaching and research skills, including how to enhance scholarly teaching and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Since 2011, over 150 faculty members and/or residents have taken at least one or more of these TSP courses.
