Dr. Malcolm Doupe, Associate Professor, Department of Community Health Sciences and Senior Research Scientist, Manitoba Centre for Health Policy and TREC Lead Investigator in Manitoba received one of 2 2012-2013 IHSPR Article of the Year Awards for the article "Frequent users of emergency departments: Developing standard definitions and defining prominent risk factors" published in the Annals of Emergency Medicine Volume 60, Issue 1, July 2012 pages 24-32. Malcolm published this paper with colleagues Wes Palatnick, MD, FRCPC, Suzanne Day, MA, Dan Chateau, PhD, Ruth-Ann Soodeen, MSc, Charles Burchill, MSc, Shelley Derksen, MSc
With the award, Malcolm receives $10,000 and travel and expenses for attendance at the CAHSPR Conference in Vancouver in May where he will be presented with a certificate of excellence.
