Effective Fall 2026: Alberta Student Loan Calculation Changes

Alberta Student Aid has introduced changes to the student loan program. We’re working to understand the impacts and how best to support students. Students should review these resources or contact Alberta Student Aid directly if they have questions about their individual loan assessment. Learn how these changes may affect you and explore available financial supports.

Student loans can be complicated, but we’re here to help! The Student Service Centre can assist you with your loan application and advise on how to manage your loans and pay for your education.
