SPP-ARC Ignites Innovation Conference

SPP-ARC is excited to invite abstract submissions for our 2026 Ignites Innovation Conference. The conference brings researchers and trainees together to share their work in pandemic preparedness, hear about new developments in the field, and discuss current issues shaping pandemic preparedness research in Canada and internationally. It’s also a chance to connect with colleagues from different disciplines and enjoy Banff.

Confirmed speakers at this year's conference include:

  • Dr. Arnab Chatterjee - Executive Vice President at Calibr-Skaggs Institute for Innovative Medicines
  • Dr. Bruno Carnard - Research Director at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, Aix-Marseille Université
  • Dr. Natalie Strynadka - Distinguished Professor, University of British Columbia

We invite abstracts aligned with this year's sessions:

  • Recent Outbreaks and Emerging Threats
  • Enabling Technologies
  • Therapeutics and Vaccines
  • From Discovery to Manufacturing

Investigators and trainees are welcome to attend. Priority will be given to those submitting abstracts relevant to this year's themes.

Selected presenters will receive:

  • Complimentary registration, accommodation, and meals
  • Ground transportation from Edmonton to Banff, if requested
  • Long-distance travel will not be covered
