M. Joanne Lemieux, BSc, MSc, PhD
Joanne Lemieux is a Professor at the Univeristy of Alberta in the Department of Biochemistry. Trained as a structural biologist, she has made important contributions to understanding protein structure and function. With a diverse research portfolio, her main interests lie in the study of proteases. She is currently working towards the development of antivirals targeting the SARS-CoV-2 main protease, including variants of concern, and viral proteases.
