Speech-Language Pathologist, Calgary Branch

Originally from Owen Sound, Ontario, Holly is thrilled to join the Calgary branch as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist at the Institute of Stuttering Treatment and Research (ISTAR). New to Calgary, she brings with her two years of experience as a school board S-LP supporting students across rural Southwestern Ontario with diverse language and communication needs.

Holly received her Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Toronto, where she also completed work as a Research Fellow on Dr. Ira Wells’ literary project, “Becoming Margaret Atwood”. She then received her Masters of Clinical Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Western Ontario, where she worked as a Research Assistant for clinical educator Taslim Moosa developing clinical teaching material for youth gender-affirming voice care. 

As a classically trained musician with Level 10 certification in Vocal Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, Holly combines her passion for performance with data-driven practice to create engaging and personalized therapy for her clients. Her clinical interests center on supporting clients of all ages with complex communication profiles, including stuttering, Selective Mutism, and all aspects of voice care—ranging from vocal health and rehabilitation to helping individuals align their voice and communication skills to their most authentic self.

Holly has recently completed continued education in the following areas of interest:

  • Selective Mutism (2025 Selective Mutism Foundation Conference)

When she isn't in the clinic, you’ll most likely find Holly starting a new craft project, or summiting a mountain peak in her new backyard of the Alberta Rockies.
