Glenice Deterville

Raised in the rural countryside of St. Lucia, Glenice Deterville witnessed the interconnectedness of policy, development, and rurality. She conducted a study on women harnessing their collective powers to lobby their government as changemakers in their local communities. Glenice is a policy analyst within the Ministry of Agriculture for the Government of Saskatchewan and PhD student in Public Policy at the University of Regina. A dedicated educator, she is advancing the field of rural and community development, and supporting the future generation of rural researchers.

Élevée à la campagne rurale de Sainte-Lucie, Glenice Deterville a observé l’interconnexion selon les politiques, le développement et la ruralité. Elle a mené un projet de recherche à propos de femmes qui cultivaient leurs pouvoirs collectifs pour pouvoir faire pression sur le gouvernement comme initiateurs de changement dans les communautés locales. Glenice est analyste politique du Ministère de l’agriculture pour le Gouvernement de la Saskatchewan et une étudiante de doctorat en politiques publiques à l’Université de Regina. Une éducatrice dédiée, elle avance les cadres de développement rural et communautaire et soutient la prochaine génération de chercheurs ruraux.
