Mentors
Are you a professional, undergraduate student or graduate student in the science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) fields? Mentors present their experience and knowledge in STEM and answer any questions children and youth might have. Mentors help inspire and educate our participants about the potential fields they could go into one day.
We are looking for mentors to give a presentation of their work at our summer camps. Presentations are in-person and need to be tailored to the grade being presented.

Summer camps run from July 4 through August 18. During this time, mentor sessions will run weekly on Fridays from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm.

Summer Camp Volunteers
Are you looking to gain experience working with youth? Summer camp volunteers work within the camp room to help provide a fun and engaging engineering experience for our campers.
The position requires volunteers to commit to working four weeks from July 4 to August 18. Volunteers are required to sign up for at least two shifts per week. Volunteers have the choice between morning (9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.) or afternoon (12:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.) shifts.

Junior Instructors
Are you a Grade 12 student looking for an exciting summer volunteer opportunity? DiscoverE's junior instructor program is designed for students entering their first year of engineering here at the University of Alberta.
Upon completion of the program, you will be eligible to receive a scholarship of $1500. You will also be given the opportunity to meet current engineering students and learn more about your program!
