All Faculty of Engineering Co-op students who were in the Fort McMurray area have been reported safe. The great majority of them have returned to their homes, more are being evacuated. Some of the students are staying on with their employers, having been deemed essential.

Additionally-many students live in the Fort McMurray area may desire support. The U of A, the Faculty of Engineering, and the Government of Alberta are offering support to students, faculty, and staff members who have been affected by this tragedy.
