National Indigenous Peoples Day is a day for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures, and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit and, Métis peoples. This year, the Augustana Campus of the University of Alberta is thrilled to welcome children and educators back onto our campus to celebrate with Richard Van Camp. We are opening this event for the general public to attend virtually. This inspirational and fun event will be filled with storytelling, readings, and even prizes! Please join us as we engage in Reconciliation in a welcoming and affirming space.

In the past several years, Richard has been the Storyteller in Residence for Calgary Public Library, and the Writer in Residence at the Metro Federation of Edmonton Libraries. He has also been the Writer in Residence at the University of Alberta, Yellowhead Tribal College and MacEwan University. He has also been the Writer in Residence at the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford.
