Writing - Academic

Academic Success Centre
Professional, individual appointments and workshops for postdocs as well as writing skills workshops. Their Academic Copy Editing (ACE) service provides copy-editing services at competitive rates for books, articles for publication, grant applications, and career documents. Our skilled, experienced ACE staff can help make final-stage documents submission-ready by correcting sentence structure, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

University of Alberta Library

The University of Alberta Library is an important stakeholder for scholarly publishing in Canada. Our open access publishing program supports open, sustainable, and responsible models of scholarly communication.  The library also hosts the Copyright Office that can provide guidance on copyright issues.

Writing - Teaching

Writing as part of Teaching
Writing Across the Curriculum works with instructors to create well-designed writing assignments and effective and efficient grading guides. In addition to one-on-one consultations with instructors, they also offer seminars and workshops on topics such as the following: Designing clear assignments; Evaluating written assignments; Commenting on student writing; Writing and critical thinking; Using informal writing assignments.
