Joint Health and Safety Committee U of A
The Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) has been developed in accordance with the requirements of the Alberta OHS Act and will make recommendations for defined health and safety activities within or originating from the university's campuses located in Edmonton. The goal of the committee is to ensure that all University of Alberta workers in Edmonton have the right to meaningful participation in health and safety activities pertaining to their work and work site, including the ability to express health and safety concerns. Through representation from both the workers and management, the Joint Health and Safety Committee will exchange information on health and safety matters and work to resolve health and safety concerns in a timely manner.
