Blake Murdoch is a legal scholar, bioethicist, health privacy expert and science communicator. Mr. Murdoch is a senior research associate with the Health Law Institute at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Law, as well as a practicing privacy officer with CANImmunize Inc.

Mr. Murdoch holds JD and MBA designations from the University of Alberta. He is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and currently sits on the Canadian Donation and Transplantation Research Program's Data Safety Monitoring Board.

Mr. Murdoch has over 30 peer reviewed academic publications and has given over 20 lectures in academic venues. His research interests encompass many topics relating to health law, policy and bioethics, including research ethics, stem cells, misinformation, health privacy, biobanking and public health. Mr. Murdoch writes often about key public health and science communication issues for national media outlets, and is a trusted source of information for new organizations investigating health policy questions.
