How to Apply

Application Period

Registration will be open on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 10 am (MDT). All applications must be received no later than 4:00 pm on Friday, April 12, 2024 (MDT). Late or incomplete applications WILL NOT be accepted.

*The application deadline for the Request for Special Testing Accommodation for the December JLPT is April 5, 2024. Please see the Special Testing Accommodations for the details.

Test Guide

All applicants must download and read carefully the JLPT 2024 Test Guide for the JLPT in Edmonton.

* Please note that sections of the Test Guide may not apply to application process for the Edmonton JLPT, as it is a general document created to accommodate testing sites worldwide. In instances where the Test Guide differs from the PTJC website, online application, etc., instructions provided by the PTJC should be followed.
Please note: There may be extra questions in the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test which do not count toward your score. These questions work in order that the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services are able to make test scores comparable across administrations or to determine how new questions function under actual test conditions.

Online registrations will be accepted starting at 10:00 am MDT on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 and will close at 4:00 pm MDT on Friday, April 12, 2024.
