First Aid

The Alberta Occupational Health & Safety Code Part 11 describes first aid requirements for a workplace, including the number of first aiders and type of equipment/supplies. Details are provided in Schedule 2 of the Code.

Standard First Aid/CPR/AED is a two day course involving practical work, lectures and a written exam. Successful registrants will receive a three-year certification in Standard First Aid.

Standard First Aid/CPR/AED training is available to current U of A staff. Contact Recreation Services or any Government approved provider to request pricing and schedule information.
