Jason Wong grew up in small town Alberta after arriving in Canada at a young age as a refugee. Graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2002, he started a career in the financial services industry. In 2009 he pivoted toward a career in accounting, obtaining his accounting designation in 2012. Progressing as an accountant in a variety of industries and organizations until 2018, he then leveraged his experience and knowledge into a career in recruiting. As a Senior Recruitment Consultant with Recruitment Partners, he specializes in placing senior level finance and accounting professionals into permanent roles. In addition to this, he is also the Chair of the Edmonton Chapter of CPA’s, an organization representing Chartered Professional Accountants and those pursuing their designation in the Edmonton region.

Jason met his wife in Edmonton in 2005 and they were married in 2007. They are raising their children with a mindset geared towards contribution, gratitude, and giving back to the community. They have volunteered with organizations targeted towards Canadian newcomers, children and youth. They believe in helping others achieve their potential by helping remove roadblocks and using their experience to mentor young people following a similar path.
