Workshops & Schedule

Camp fYrefly takes great care to meet the needs of all campers. We provide workshops, activities, and mental health supports, whether online or in person. When we are able to attend Camp in person we work to ensure meals, accommodation, support, and spaces are accessible and safe for everyone.

A Day at Camp

A day at Camp includes structured and unstructured activities at varying sizes throughout the day. Workshops are designed to be pedagogically sound, evidence-informed, and culturally appropriate. All of our programming is guided by youth input and facilitated by trained educators and youth workers in collaboration with a team of artists, counsellors, community members, and youth leaders. We aim to create a balance between health and wellness, arts-based programming, Indigenous-led programming, and workshops on sexuality and gender, anti-oppression, building leadership, and resiliency.

We also provide plenty of time for campers to connect - with the land and water, their pods, pod leaders, health team volunteers, and Indigenous Knowledge Keepers. A large focus is our arts-based programming. Throughout the week everyone engages in an arts program designed by a designated Artist-in-Residence. This culminates in a talent showcase on the last night of camp.
