Here are today's updates for the U of A community:


An Employee Leave and Pay Guideline has been added for information on pay continuance and leaves for each employee group during COVID-19.

The Managers and Supervisors section will help those who supervise others answer questions about working remotely and working during the COVID-19 epidemic.

Students and Instructors

Announcements were made earlier today regarding changes to grades, final assessments, course outlines, academic standing, and course withdrawal deadline.

Frequently asked questions were also added for students and instructors around these announcements. We will continue to add information to these FAQs.


Following announcements on March 18 for researchers, we have added frequently asked questions for researchers regarding preparations and ongoing research.

Campus Building Hours

Starting Monday, March 23, buildings on North Campus will be closed to the public and will require ONEcard or key access. See Facilities & Operations building hours for more details.

Beware of Phishing Scams

In the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation, and the University's need to work online and remotely, information and cyber security risks are elevated.  Scammers are exploiting the COVID-19 situation through urgent appeals for monetary donations and unsolicited/irregular emails or text messages that are supposedly from University senior leaders, management/supervisors, or coworkers.  Be very cautious and vigilant.


Parking services has reduced daily parking rates.
