Asymptomatic testing still available for teachers and staff
Yesterday, the Government of Alberta announced an update to our provincial testing approach in preparation for winter cold and influenza season. Testing will prioritize Albertans with symptoms and vulnerable groups at higher risk of getting or spreading COVID-19. Voluntary asymptomatic testing remains available to school teachers and staff. See who can be tested for full details.
Don’t have an Alberta Healthcare Number? You can still be tested.
Out-of-province or international students and employees who currently reside in Alberta and have been recommended for COVID-19 testing can and should book a test with Alberta Health Services. (It's free!) First: Complete the COVID-19 Self-Assessment for Albertans. Second: If you’ve been recommended for testing, fill out the form at the end of the assessment simply leaving the healthcare number blank OR call Alberta Health Services at 8-1-1 to book your appointment.
