Updated May 26 to indicate that on-campus activities remain limited until further notice.

Reminder: Minimal on-campus activity

To help stop the spike of COVID-19 and abide by the latest public health restrictions, the U of A community will be shifting to mostly online activities until further notice as the university assesses the current situation. See the update from earlier this week.

Changes to Library Curbside Pickup

To help reduce activity on our campuses, the Library will be closing all curbside pickup services until the latest restrictions are lifted. Visit the Library website for more detailed information.

Vaccination Update

Starting on May 3, all Albertans 30 years of age and up became eligible to book their COVID-19 vaccine. On May 10, eligibility will open to include anyone over the age of 12.

For those currently eligible, the University Health Centre Pharmacy reopened for vaccine appointments this week, offering the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. For more information, visit COVID-19 Vaccines and U of A: What You Need to Know

The University Health Centre is also preparing to offer COVID-19 vaccinations later next week. Patients can start booking on Wednesday, May 12, for appointments that will begin on May 14. Bookings are for first shots only and the vaccine being used will be Moderna. Visit the UHC website to book an appointment.

Employee resource: Family support during the pandemic

As part of the new hotspot restrictions in Edmonton, K-12 students will all now be learning online for at least the next few weeks. As needed, U of A employees can discuss flexible work options with their supervisors and HR representatives. Find family support tips and resources during the pandemic by visiting the Human Resources, Health, Safety and Environment website.
