Mostly Remote Through Stage 1

Following this week’s announcement regarding Alberta’s re-opening plans, the U of A has confirmed that we will be remaining mostly remote through Alberta’s Stage One.

This means that everyone currently working and studying remotely will continue to do so until we provide further notice. We expect to remain in our current state until later in June. Thank you all for your patience and willingness to hold on as we each do our part to help see our way through the pandemic.

Summer Term As Scheduled

As the Spring term comes to an end and we begin to look ahead, we’re able to confirm that the U of A’s Summer term will carry forward as originally scheduled for 2021. This means that courses already scheduled to be online will be and that any courses designated for in-person delivery are expected to be, barring any additional public health restrictions.

Please go to Bear Tracks to confirm the delivery method of your courses.

Let’s Get Vaccinated: Sign-up for Your Shot

Preparing for Fall 2021

This Fall, the university is looking forward to re-welcoming the majority of our students to our campuses. Planning around our phased re-opening and supports for those individuals who will be unable to be physically present is underway. We’ll be providing updates throughout the summer to help staff, faculty, and students to prepare for the who, when, and how of the reentry process.
